I've had good luck with Verizon. In NY and much of the Northeast, Verizon has lots of rural coverage, so my reception is decent in most places. It's not perfect, though.

As it turns out, I went with T-Mobile. They seem to have the best 4G coverage in this area, and they have the Galaxy Note, which I really wanted. The prices were very reasonable, and I think I made the right choice. Time will tell.

I was a loyal Verizon customer for 16 years but have now switched to a less expensive GSM provider that gives me unlimited, voice, data and text for under $40. Where I am, coverage is good.
