Back to Back 2024 M3 vs 2024 M2 in the Mountains

I know. Voice command is nothing new.
But why would I do it? It should be the ultimate driving machine. Roll down the windows and enjoy driving. Why should I spend time messing with menus, then submenus, then sub-sub menus? Give me basic functions in physical form. If they want to pack bunch of other stuff on screen, fine.
That is why I am keeping E90 until my 8yrs old starts driving. Then maybe I get something that still has manual in BMW, if not, well, I guess Subaru?🤮🤮🤮
Technology bro! The screen generation demands it and they have the RSU to spend! lol.

Vocal commands? So if I understand this correctly, I am having AC/DC running at highest volume, carving curves, shifting gears, and I have to cut music off to adjust something?

Oh, never mind, no manual. Won’t happen anyway.
The engine is the soundtrack, but the hifi is OK. I never really crank it... would rather hear the car for shifting.
There are so many commands that can be given vocally in this car, and as a manual tranny driver, this is so convenient.
The G80 6 speed is the ultimate dichotomy _ three pedals .... loaded with technology.

I really don't care about technology. As long as it heats in the winter and blows cold on super hot days (on hot days, lowered windows are fine), it is absolutely irrelevant.
It does not do anything for me more that the E90 doesn't, one without iDrive. I mean I drive new ones now and then, especially when I was tracking my E90 a lot, and in the end it is all gimmicks. 99.99999% of the time comes down to adjusting volume and heat in the winter. In summer, I drive 90% of time with all windows lowered.

Do the fingerprint on the screen drive you nuts? I hate the hidden climate control menu.
i rarely touch it and it seems to be print resistant, like a phone shield is hydrophobic. and can use idrive dial to navigate, which i use more... you can adjust temp on the front screen. it's not so bad. i like the clean look with less knobs. i do use the volume knob but don't need much else. the M1/M2 buttons also help for preferred tune settings

We have a 230i and it drives me nuts but I always see it in the passenger seat. She doesn't like using the iDrive knob.

I get it but most cars have some kind of screen. I keep a small bottle of speed shine and a microfiber in my wife’s Honda pilot so I feel ya
