IMO kids existing in broken or breaking homes, or homes where the parents are as immature as the children is just a huge dissservice to the children and showing them what a quality life should be. Im sure Ill get flamed because lots of people have succeeded from broken homes, and many are existing in and raising kids in broken homes.
Sure, there are lots of situations and scenarios. But IMO if a real, proper mother and father figure, working as a team, was reflected in most of American life, we wouldnt have the inner city issues, the rebelion issues, and many other things. Some stuff has always been the case and is just part of human nature. Some people just arent meant to carry on the species, thats OK.
But dont breed em if you cant feed and support them, both monetarily, and in a household full of love, togetherness, and teaming.
Having come off a road trip down south, its amazing how many single mothers there are. Perhaps it is because we were traveling with our baby and they wanted to talk about theirs - which is great. But I feel for their babies and their development without a father figure and a full home.
Per Dr. Stanley's research in
The Millionaire Mind:
- 92% of millionaire households in America are composed of married couples
- these married couples have 1/3rd the divorce rate of non-millionaire couples
- on average, they have been married for 28 years or more
- one quarter of them have been married for 38 years or more
- and even those who have divorced are overwhelmingly likely to be remarried.
This is a good read for everyone on here, as it talks to relationship traits and how successful marriages base their decision and important attributes both initially and long-term:

Of course people can question and take issue with the stats and facts presented there, and that's OK. But also, for whatever shred of truth that exists in those points, the reality is also that many are not suited to be millionaires or rich, that's OK. And, many that break these rules do exist. And it does not mean that marriage is a guarantee to success or anything else... But there is something beneficial to the instition of marriage, and IMO the breakdown of morality, breakdown of the family structure, and abundance of children in/from a broken home does not do well for anyone.
So good for those who desire NOT to marry, and to save the hurt, cost and other problems associated with failed long-term and legal;y-bound relationships.
