I'll go first. Two vehicles 18 and 4 years old. Average age is 22/2 = 11 years.

Daily drivers: 8 + 20 = 28, average 14.

Summer toy is 34 yo, so average of all 3 would be 21.

If someone has a 1916 Model T and a 2024 Tesla their average age is 55 years but that does not tell you anything accurate about either one of their cars.

Agreed, median model year vs. arithmetic average would give a more accurate picture.

Alternatively, 'how old is your daily driver' would be more in keeping with the spirit of the original question.

In that case, I might be off by a year! But the new Volvo is a 2025.5, so, it’s only 1/2 year old…

But… in seeking to correlate to the intent, if “average of a daily driven” vehicle, I would, of course, remove the one collector car (even though the Mercedes are both collector cars that are daily driven).

Take out those two collector cars, using just the Volvos and the Truck -

3 vehicles, average age is 7 years. Honestly is about where I want to be - i tend to find with my miles and living in the salt belt, I prefer to get rid of my vehicles when they hit around 13 years old or 180k - whichever comes first.
