Autozone Chevron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner BOGO

Yeah I just noticed that too. The 12 oz bottle only treats 12 gallons. I would need to use two for my tank, and it would still be a little short. I have a 26 gallon gas tank.
I currently use Yamaha Ring Free which is like a syrup and recommended at 1oz per 10 gal. I currently use it at 2oz per 10 gal. But my last gas tank before the oil change will run it 1oz per gal. 😁
Techron is much diluted version of the full strength Yamaha Ring Free. I would use for sure 3-4 bottles in your 26 gal. tank.

Isn't it Yamalube Ring Free? I guess it's made by Yamaha though.

Quite a bit more expensive. Valvoline Restore and Protect a lot cheaper (if you're trying to free up your rings like those with the oil-burning Audis are doing).

For fuel system cleaners, I think PEA cleaners like Techron, Amsoil, or Red Line SI-1 are sufficient.

Is PEA the active ingredient in Yamalube Ring Free?

Yes, I believe so. That's what I've read.
Also, people say it's made by Chevron but much concentrated specifically for Yamaha. That's why it's recommended 1oz per gallon.

It looks like syrup. I delute it before hand in a bottle, then I pure it in my tank.

so whats the basis for 200% recommended strength? on fuel system cleaners?

Even if yamalube was 100% pea.. which it isnt, at 1oz per 10 gallon its not as strong as techron at 1oz per gallon.

Therefore even if you double both the techron dose is still stronger.

SDS for ring free plus.. how is this "supr THICC Techron"

Have you used Yamaha Ring Free additive?

• 1st thing is that it's advertised as Ring Free (cleans piston rings), not just Fuel System Cleaner as Techron.
• 2nd it's much concentrated than Techron and that's visible by its much higher viscosity.
• 3rd it's double the price of Techron at about $25 for 12oz.

How do you know that?
Also, Yamaha Ring Free can be used at up to 2oz per gallon for so called "shock treatment cleaning".

1.advertising?? - What is your point?
2. supporting info? I posted the sds for yamalube ring free plus.
here it is again- Which one of these components is the "ultra Thicc PEA"

3. 4x the price you can get 40oz techron concentrate plus for 16.99

The standard rate of 1oz per 1 gallon is purported to be 10x the rate of top tier chevron gas..
so why do you recommend 2x that much?

O.K. Great!
What about 01154100-5051P on the Yamalube SDS?
well besides the fact that its .2% to .4% you were claiming it had more pea than techron... more "ultra thicc cleanin power"

but then again you make frequent unsubstantiated claims.

I'm still waiting on an answer as to why you recommend double the manufacturer's recommended dose of techron that is by itself 10x stronger than top tier chevron fuel.

This is not my claim. It's based on research and there is a plenty info on here too by various users. Techron is much less concentration than Yamalube, hence their mixing proportion and price too.

That is for people who whats to clean piston rings and cambytion chamber. If you want to clean only your fuel system and injectors use as much as you want. I don't know what's the difference b/w Techron and Top Tier fuel. I just compared it to Yamalube Ring Free.

Do you make a difference b/w product called Ring Free and Fuel System Cleaner?

The two SDS tables above are different. On one it says Concentration % and the other one states By Weight %.
Also the percentages are approximate because their sum is over 100%, especially on the Techron table.
How can you comment on that?

Just be aware that they all have different dilution rates which can drastically change the cost per use of the various Chevron additives.
Some of them 12 oz treat only 12 gal, some treat up to 21 gal. It depends on which version you select
