I will try the one bottle cleaning first to see the results. I'm planning on using Pennzoil Conventional and a Napa Gold filter.

I will be taking pictures with the valve cover removed before, mid way and at the end of the treatment phase as well as pictures during and after the rinse phase.

Regards, JC.

I'm sure we all look forward to your results.

Any idea how long it might take?

Do you have the 'New Improved' Arx or the old stuff?

I've ordered the new Auto RX plus. It will probably take me 3 months to drive the 2000 miles on the cleaning phase (distance to leave it in for according to the Auto Rx instructions). Rinse phase will probably take me into the spring of next year.

Regards, JC.

What!?!? Pictures!?!?!. This is the oil additive section. Where anecdotes are what is wanted

Who said that there is something wrong with photographs of the interior of the engine? And why would there be a problem with photographs of the interior? A engine cleaning product should clean. If the product does clean then there is positive evidence that the product works. If the product does not clean there there is evidence that the product does not work as advertised.

I have never understood why Auto-RX supporters are so against photographic evidence. At the Auto-RX website there are photographs that are supposed to prove that Auto-RX actually cleans the interior of an engine.

We can use any evidence we can get for these various products, regardless if you are talking about MMO, Kreen, Auto-RX, or anything else. We can use testimony from people who have used products, we can use photographs, and we can use compression testing that was done with a good compression tester and multiple witnesses.

I don't have any problem whatsoever with somebody testing Kreen or MMO and displaying photographs. So there should be no problem with somebody taking photographs after using Auto-RX.

If a product does not actually clean the interior of an engine but only improves compression maybe that product should be advertised as a compression improver and not as an engine cleaner.

I'm not against photographic evidence, it just doesn't interest me. Raised compression, smoother quieter running with lower fuel consumption definitely does. And rejuvenation of leaking seals definitely gets my attention!

No. Other AW adds don't coat metal parts like Moly does.

That would be anyone who thinks that "personal testimony" (your words, btw), rank above proof.

Now, taking pictures doesn't require the resources of a billionaire", but without a before and after compression test, which doesn't require, valve train pics are a waste of time. (Interior of an engine.... that would be things like piston rings, since valve trains are not *in* an engine.)

Let's not forget that ARX *is* Mystic approved

LOL No I'm well rested, this is just getting real old. Too bad these questions can't be asked and discussed on the A-Rx site, or searched here. All of this has been covered, time and time again.

Let us not forget that MMO is Trajan approved. Want me to go ahead and repost what you said about MMO in the past, Trajan?

Anybody can do a little research here and find out that I think personal testimony has some value. Anybody can do some research and find out that I think photographs, preferably before and after an engine cleaning product is used, have value. Anybody can do some research and find out that I have no problems with compression testing, as long as a quality compression tester is used and there is independent verification of the results. And all of this is simple common sense and logic as well.

The last time I checked Frank's Auto-RX website he had photographs to try to prove that Auto-RX cleans the interior of an engine. If Frank is willing to use photographs, why would the Auto-RX supporters here be against using photographs?

But sprintman keeps saying that compression testing is good enough. Why not have some before and after photography also? Why not? And we need to make sure a quality compression tester is used and that there is independent verification. I should not even have to say all of this. It should be obvious and common sense and logical.

And a level playing field for all products that are supposed to clean. They should all be tested the same-Kreen, MMO, Auto-RX, whatever. I think all fair minded people here would demand fair testing. Am I wrong?

This is all I want to say about this because I am tired of getting into the same arguments over and over again with the Auto-RX promoters. You want me to use Auto-RX? Prove that it works!

Personally I am tired of discussing Auto-RX just like demarpaint is. I am tired of going over the same old arguments bak and forth.

I am ready to talk about Auto-RX Plus and maybe give it a try once the Auto-RX promoters can provide proof that it works. If Auto-RX Plus is such a miracle product it should be easy for them to provide proof. And I mean proof-not just compression testing done by one guy with a compression tester of unknown quality and no independent verification. That is not proof.

So Auto-RX promoters let me know when you have proof. Maybe in 2050?

Here are links to 10 tests.

Tests

Mystic this is so old- Why not ask for something easy that can happen instantly. Ask the A-Rx promoters when can A-Rx be openly discussed on their site? Without the questions or replies being edited, deleted, controlled, changed, or not allowed to be viewed on the site by the site owner? I don't mean cursing or foul language, just openly discussed, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Just like we do here, only over there. This way we don't have to do it here anymore. In fact to make it fair we can do the same for anything else that causes this kind of disturbance and trolling over and over again.

Auto-RX Plus will probably never be discussed openly at that website. Personally I am sick and tired of going over all of this stuff again and again and again. I want to see proof that can be verified. And I am not talking about sprintman doing some compression testing and we are supposed to believe that Auto-RX Plus works because he did compression testing with a compression tester of unknown quality and no independent verification. Meanwhile he seems to have an issue with before and after photography but at the Auto-RX website itself there are photographs that are being used to try to prove that Auto-RX Plus works. It is basic common sense and logic that if an engine cleaning product works it should be able to clean an engine. Well maybe the varnish would not be cleaned but at least remove sludge. Mere common sense that the engine cleaner should be able to remove sludge.

We had a guy here, Artem, who on his own was doing testing and supplying photographs. If one guy on his own at his own cost can do all of that, how come these Auto-RX promoters can't do it?

Auto-RX Plus cannot be discussed at this website without all of the Auto-RX promoters showing up. What is in it for these guys? Meanwhile if somebody tries to discuss MMO or Kreen at this website soon these guys show up and attack. Do they fear MMO and Kreen that much? There is no reason for them to fear MMO and Kreen if those products are worthless and if Auto-RX Plus is the miracle product.

ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS SUPPLY PROOF! Proof that can be independently verified. I have been here over ten years and they have not supplied the proof yet! We are supposed to say, 'Oh, sprintman did compression tests. The product works.' People at this website demand more than that. They would demand more than that for any product, including MMO and Kreen.

Gary Allen (RIP), who is VERY respected on here, has his documented test case on that link. I'm not what else can be added.

Those test results are from the Auto-RX website. So now I want to see testing that can be verified by bobistheoilguy.com guys that we know are independent and unbiased. I want to see testing done by well known respected members here who have no relationship with Auto-RX and I want to see testing on more than one vehicle with sludged up engines. I want to see before and after photography and I want to see compression testing with quality recording compression testers and the results verified.

Then one must wonder why you and he continues.

As for proof, you already posted such. You own "personal testimony."

Must I post it again?
