Anyone use BG "Quick clean" and ATC Plus" in well maintained transmissions?

Hello guys! I have several well maintained transmissions and my good friend who owns a mechanic shop has me trying this in my transmissions. He uses it in all his vehicles and I think I'll give it a try in my 2012 Honda Accord V6 with 160,000 miles. I have done 2 or 3 drain and fills every 15,000 miles so it has been maintained really well with fresh ATF. I just do the drain and fill and not a suck machine and I'm curious if after the cleaning process is done will 3 drain and fills will get all of the old ATF and BG cleaner out? What do you guys think? Should I do 4 or 5 to make sure? I do the drain and fills myself using Honda DW-1 fluid.
I also going to try it in a 2004 Volvo XC70 which has a Asian Warner(Toyota) transmission and my 1997 Sierra with a 4L60E. Both have been flushed and filled with a machine every 30,000 miles and the ATF is always clean. Thanks guys!

Our transmission guy (shop foreman/world class tech) at my shop refuses to use it. He’s afraid it’ll clean too well, and then the transmission will start having shifting problems.
This is at a GM shop btw.

Interesting. My mechanic buddy has used it for 15 years and swears by it but only in well maintained transmissions. He says not to use it if the transmission has not been serviced regularly.

Everyone has an opinion. He specializes in transmission, so I trust him. Do whatever gives you the fuzzies. I’m not against it, or for it.

Remember that transmission fluid does not get exhaust blowby like an engine. It has a breather to the outside to prevent pressurization of the case from fluid expansion, but it's not a big volume of air exchange. And the fluid is not seeing temperatures like the bottom of engine pistons. Doing fluid changes on schedule (and filter if specified) is all that's needed.

@nascarnation
As Nascarnation stated, you do not need aftermarket additives in a well maintained transmission.

Most shops will recommend additives as an UPCHARGE to pad their profits. What most AT mechanics don't recognize or understand is that aftermarket additives have the potential to change the Dynamic Friction Coefficients.

Fortunately, the tranny shop I work with on ATF formulations recognize this phenomenon.

My recommendation is: Don't fall for these gimmicks.

To me a well maintained tranny by definition means a properly functioning trans- what is the benefit to exceed 100%. Now if you are having a problem with a not so well maintained trns with varnish- then yes....cheap try.
