Anyone try those valves that replaces your pan screw for quicker/cleaner change?

I have used a couple of Fram Suredrain valves. Work great! They don't leak at all when installed, and the screw on drain hose goes on with very little force. Actually, I dumped the hose and just use the metal screw on part when I drain the oil. If only a filter change could be so clean.

Keith.

I use the Fram Suredrain too and love it! I don't use the hose attachment, but I like the fact that I have no drain plug to lose, plus I can do my oil changes without my big heavy socket set now. It also makes it easier to take oil samples.

Depens where your drain is...I certainly can't use them...the way mine is on my Jeep engine's they would be in harms way for sure...use the SuperPlug instead...it's better anyway

...just did a oil change on a 2000 Chev Blazer 4.3L...it has a magnet on the drain plug OEM...why?

I am using 5 Fumoto valves, been on for about 1 1/2 years now. No problems. Prefer the ones with the nipples as they are easier to drain into a bottle for a sample.

Ditto on the Fumotos. Check out their website for info on how they work.

I have them on all my vehicles. One has been on a Bronco for 4 or 5 years now. They are great and make an oil change (almost) fun.

I am using two Fumotos on my two vehicles and I love them. I've just been out with my small pickup from Florida to the western deserts and along some long dirt and rock roads and I have been just fine. There seems to be no threat of damage and the subsequent oil change and sample collection was a cinch. Hmm !!! Seems I might consider getting one for the transmission drain pan for the Nissan Sentra the wife drives. The pan now has a drain plug with the same thread size as the motor oil drain plug.

I'm considering buying one. Its only $8 here locally, I dont fully understand how it goes on yet (or if it rubs the ground or not) but it looks pretty handy. Its not a big deal but I hate soiling a shop rag every singe time I change the oil.

Any other tips for making oil changes go faster and easier?

I had bought and installed the Fram Sure Drain on one of my cars a few months ago. I just bought a second one for my other car and find that the package now has a statement saying not for use on Saturns. This was not on the one I bought just a few months ago. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the Saturn sludge problem...my thinking is if thee is a build up of sludge, it may not drain. In that case, you think the warning would also apply to Toyotas. Anyone have any idea or comments?

Anyone remove their oil pan with the quickee valve installed to see how much old oil is still left in the pan?
