You know, I've never cared for him much, but I hear he's developed a little bit of a sense of humor (appearing on SNL).

I remember how hard I laughed when Jesse Jackson did that "The Question is MOOT" game show on SNL way back when!

Well, listening to him in the debates, it seems clear to me he is just there to sabotage the other candidate's run. It is clear he is NOT going to win any primaries and much less the presidency. He is just clowning and making smart remarks......I could use my time better than to listen to him.

GROUCHO: I started on a thread responding to your statement about how the goons that run the USA always have prior knowledge to each and every "terrorist" activity that has happened in recent years (and some going back much longer). Examples: Arlie Fliescher (sp?) the White House press secretary announced to the press (by accident?) that they were on the anti-anthraz antibiotic Sipporo (sp?) ONE day BEFORE the outbreaks were reported to have happened. Top officials were warned NOT TO FLY around Washington DC and NYC the morning of Sep. 11, 2001. Many gov't. officials were paged the night before and told not to report to work at the Alfred P. Murrah (sp?) federal building the day of the blast. Then, magically, about 5 to 10 minutes after the blast all the BATF agents swarmed the area in full battle gear (which, if it were not planned would be impossible). The list goes on and on and on and on...

But to your reply about being wealthy. Rush Limbaugh (sp? (gosh, I'm terrible with all these names) who always responded to anyone telling him the gov't. is after them that they were "consipracy theorists" NOW after being attacked under the same Patriot Act that he championed is saying HE is a victom of a conspiracy. Funny how ones ideals will change when the "It'll never happen to me" belief is proven to be false. I really do believe that we are headed to h**l-in-a-handbasket. And soon.

I only pray that I (and many others) are wrong!

Tim

I'm sorry Tim. I'm afraid I don't understand the first part of your post. I don't believe the government has prior knowledge of the attacks.

I do believe that prior to 9-11, you could have sent the FBI and the CIA the total game plan and they wouldn't have been able to connect the dots.

Well, I am a registered Democrat and I pretty much have made up my mind-I will vote for Bush. If Lieberman was the Democratic candidate, I would consider him, but let's face it-he will not be the Democratic candidate. Unless Bush does something incredible bad I just cannot see myself voting for Kerry, Edwards, or especially Clark or Dean.

I am sad for the Democratic Party.

GROUCHO: I thought that when you said "Our intelligence is so great, that the CIA found out about the fall of the Berlin wall moments before it happened! " that you were referring to the fact that the gov't. had prior knowledge.

All the examples I gave in an earlier post have been reported in a mainstream news source and are verifiable. When each of the events are brought to light they are done one at a time and in no context. Once you put all the pieces together and see the string of events leading up to each disaster, it becomes clear that the US gov't. or it's military industrial complex/world bank controllers is involved.

Here is an example: On Sep. 11, 2001 it was widely reported that fires caused the collaps of WTC7. This building was shielded from the debris og WTC 1 & 2 by WTC 6. In 2003 or 2003 I don't know which off the top of my head PBS did a doccumentary of rebuilding the WTC. They interview the owner of the WTC. In the interview he states that a fire captain contacted him and then they agreed to "pull" the building (Pulling a building referrs to controlled demolition of a building). So he was directly responsible for the destruction of that particular building but in the beginning it was announced that it fell due to the collaps of the other towers. What is known is he bought the complex just months before the attack and had them insured for several times what the buildings are worth. I have also heard something about them being condemmed (due to asbestos) and the cost for removal was too high and the probability of litigation by the thousands of people who worked and visited the building would be too high. So, it is my belief that he was intimately involved in the destruction of the complex, but that has yet to be proven...YET.

Remember...it has taken fourty years for it to come to light that the gov't. had JFK assasinated. It was quite a while before it was "discovered" that LBJ had the Isreallies attempt to sink the intelligence ship the USS Liberty to blame it on Egypt and get us into a war for some reason or another (slips my mind right now). It has also been a while since the president at the time had prior knowledge of the pending attacks on Pearl Harbour by the Japanese. He allowed it to happen to relly US support to get into WWII. Here are just a few examples of prior knowledge, there are many more throughout history. BTW, all these are verifiable, you just need to look.

Tim

Tim, with regard to FDR. I'm sure he had an idea and, in fact, hoped that the Japanese would attack. My question is why would he not have the military prepare for an unprovoked attack had he known of the time and place. The fact that they attacked would be provocation enough. Why lose life needlessly?

Thinning the herd like this doesn't make sense. It comes back to the famous question asked during the Watergate hearings, "What did he know and when did he know it?"

Same question applies in all investigations.

While I cannot speak for the reasonings of a sociapath, I guess it to be that the large loss of life would certainly infuriate the American people and then FDR would have carte blanc to do whatever he needs to to retalliate.

These type of people (if they can be called people) have no regard for human life. It comes down to whatever it takes to further their cause. Witness the 9-11 travesty, anthrax letters, USS Liberty, OK City Fed building, etc...

Tim

Tim, we then have mass murderers in all segments and all eras of public service. The conspiracy has to reach proportions of 100,000 people.

That's a pretty hard secret to keep. Nixon had less than 20 and the cat got out of the bag, resulting in impeachment/resignation.

Clinton had 3, resulting in a fiasco.

I seriously doubt your other examples. But I can say with 99+% confidence that your above statement sir is false. WWII is one of my hobies and although I am not a world expert-I know a lot. Please cite your reference source.

AL,
I agree with you. I believe just like 9/11, Pearl Harbor was a series of small but fatal faliures when put together:

-Inability to connect the dots.
-Ignorance and underestimation of what Japan could do.
-The radar guys on top of the mountain who mistaked the Japs for US bombers.....their inability to communicate even if they new.
-Burocracy and red tape.

.....among others.

EDIT: Do you know what a grease gun is? If you know about WW2 weaponry, then you should know. Interesting piece of equipment

I cannot stand Bush at all. Everything he ever got in life was given to him on a silver platter, and then he even screwed up what was given him, like going AWOL from the Texas National Guard, but nothing happening as a consequence. Like the Supreme Court giving him the Presidency. Like making a bundle on the Texas Rangers after being put in there due to family connections.

After 9-11, he went into Afghanistan to clean house. But then his desire to protect Daddy's honor got the best of him and he had to get Saddam. Iraq was a country created after WW-1 by the British, and is basically ungovernable. It has Sunni Moslems, Shiite Moslems, and Kurds, and none of them get along with each other. The place will be in civil war the minute we pull out, if not before. Before long, we will be hiring Saddam as a political consultant to figure out how to keep a lid on the place.

His tax plans fill the pockets of the investor class, and will leave it to our children and grandchildren to pay the bill.

There have been 3 US million jobs lost under his "tax plan" to revitalize the economy. However, India is booming, as is China, as the tax plan encourages investor profits, not US jobs, and profits are maximized by shipping work to the place where people are willing to work for the least.

He lied to us about WMD.

And by making this "war on terror" along with the so called "Patriot Act", our basic constitutional protections are severely compromised. All they have to do is call you an "enemy combatant" and, without any hearing, lawyer, or even disclosure of your name to the public, you can be locked away, indefinitely.

I would even vote for Al Sharpton over Bush. If Sharpton were elected, the common people in the Third World would gain a sudden respect for the USA, and I think a lot of our international problems with hostile foreign populations would be defused. Of course, Sharpton won't be elected, but what I am saying is that with Bush, all we can look forward to is more of the same. We can't kill them all.

So somebody else knows about Bush past. I was starting to think only I'd done the research. Love this from a base commander "Bush quickly gets a reputation as a lazy hard drinking womaniser who mooches? cigarettes and dances naked on bar stools. Theres a lot more but people just don't want to know.

Sprint, thats the definition of a young fighter pilot ! He did fly F102's and I respect that. Yes he got lost for 2 years after he transfered to the Air Guard unit in Alabama........ I'm a Conservative libertarian and have NO one to vote for !

Matt/tweeker, I grew up near Bloomington Indiana and Graduated from a REAL college, Embry-Riddle.

Yes I have family members who taught and attended IU and Purdue but we don't talk about it much

I hate Dub-ya. I pretty much hate everything about the man. I can't off the top of my head come up w/ a single policy of his that I agree w/ apart prehaps from the invasion of Afghanistan (I think the Taliban were so evil that they needed to be eradicated, tho that job is unfinished), and while I'm happy that Saddam has been removed, I disagree w/ the invasion of Iraq, as I believe there was no thought as to what to do after the Iraqi army was smashed.

I'm hoping Edwards gets the nomination.

As a Vermonter, I can tell you that Dean has gotten a bad rap and he is actually very fiscally conservative and a strong Second Amendment supporter.

HOWEVER, the national public perception of him is not good, and I don't know if any northeasterner Democrat can beat Bush because of kneejerk reactions, particularly in the Southern states (no insult to our Southern friends, but I think that is true.)

In the last 25 years, the only Dems that have been elected are Carter from Georgia and Clinton from Arkansas. Thus, if Bush is to be beaten, Edwards may be the man to do it.

And the last one prior to Carter was "Landslide" Lyndon Johnson... There is a pattern here.

I guess we're getting off topic here, but at this time and place in history the U.S. does not draft for the military.

The military is a volunteer armed force. Those of you who have never beeen sujected to the draft can't understand this , I guess.

In this life, you really have to be aware of risks.

My pop, did not want me to go to Viet Nam, but would have insisted I serve had I been drafted. I would have respected his wishes. As it turned out, my lottery number was 34, I would have been drafted had the government not drafted that year. I watched my friends from high school and college get drunk the day the lottery numbers were pulled. Some drank in joy, others in disbelief. I knew quite few guys who went to Viet Nam, I don't know many who were happy about going. I knew some who went to Canada. It was a choice they made.

I don't think anyone should be happy about going to war or sending other people to go.

I don't believe I have seen one poster say that they are happy our young people are in battle.

BTW, I don't care for Sean Hannity's attitude either.
