Any reason NOT to buy the Euro version?

Thou Lubrizol Relative Perf Tool should be taken with half tea spoon of salt, still here is one with the specs I'd like to run against API SP:

Man I gotta stop reading these forums.. now I need to go buy some Euro flavours of my current oils lol. PP Euro Lx 0w30 for my hemi Durango sounds tempting

Though don’t see any euro versions of 0w20 at my Canadian tire here for our 3.6

Castrol Edge EP gold bottle 0W-20 has some Euro approvals. PP Euro LX is on sale this week at CT.

Yes, I got some, Penn also has a promotion at this time - buy two jugs, get $20 back. Caught the oil on sale at CT with another $5 back on Triangle card after spending $40.
So how much Canadian Tire money do you have on your card? I’m sitting at $134, but been over a thousand a few times. I stacked savings last summer and ended up with 5 pails of 15w40 T5 and a pail of 0w40 T6

'cos it's a better quality oil?
Like PP Euro LX as an example, it's made in Germany and Shell admits it's the best oil they make. Just google Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 which is the same oil. Here is what Shell says: "...Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 0W-30 – our most advanced formulation to date."
I’m glad you believe SOPUS marketing. Not everyone does. 🙊🙊🙊

There is a reason Shell chose to name Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 0W-30 their most formulation, there are many oils they make to choose from. That particular oil is in my xW-30 range I was looking for and oil has certifications (combination of) I care about and respect. That's all.

European ACEA A3/B4 oils are my minimum spec off the shelf. Given the abysmal standards for API, and the fact that the price is pretty similar on the shelf, I see no reason to use an API oil over a Euro oil. Even with TGDI, I would rather use a higher end oil with more ester and moly to quench the LSPI than lower my standards on everything else.

How does Euro oil work for diesel engines?

The MS-12991 spec for 3rd Gen Ecodiesels is very similar to ACEA A3/B4 and C3 specs. The recommended oil from Mopar, aside from their own Mopar oil, is Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-40. (which is the same thing as the Mopar oil)

I’m
This is the value leader when it's on sale (same oil as PPEuro LX, Shell Helix Ultra, QS Euro LX):

i was looking at that OePlus version as well, SDS though isn’t quite the same as the pennzoil version but close. Wasn’t sure how close the additive packs were either

I’m currently running their OEPLUS 5w30 domestic version in my hemi this summer and zero hemi tick, very quiet with this oil so no complaints
