This news is a few days old, but Anderson Manufacturing sold everything to Ruger and are gone. No continuation of parts and worse, any warranties are extinct now. Ruger isn't honoring the warranties either. I know a lot of people consider them "cheap", but that doesn't mean junk. Dirty little secret in the industry is they produced parts for a lot of other brands, including some high-end ones. I actually know a guy (QA Engineer) that has been in their facility in Hebron KY and saw things first-hand.

This is one reason why warranties with guns are sometimes worthless. Buying a gun with a lifetime warranty is not the end of the story. Over the years I have used many Anderson parts, and cannot say I could attribute any failure direct to Anderson.

Poverty pony , I have a few of their receivers . with the new person in the white house, the market for guns and ammo has dropped considerably .

Running a small biz is not easy , and if a larger company came in and wanted to buy them out , especially if the terms are good, many would do so .

Ruger buying them out is either to get rid of them as compitition or they are going to expand their market share with their equipment and knowledge

Local outfitter fin feather fur.

How was the quality of their products ?
Our son won one of their AM-15 Utility models in a raffle (cost him $100) and it's been flawless.

Local "builder", same guy that built mine, uses their lowers for all the ARs he builds people and he's had zero issues and said there's no reason to pay 3x the cost for a "cooler" name. Mine has an Anderson lower, Rise trigger, Faxon barrel, etc.
Anderson made great mil-spec lowers. I'm glad I bought several when they were $40.
They still are in quite a few places. I know close to me that Vance Outdoors, Aim Surplus, etc still have them available. One or the other frequently had them on sale for $34.99.

Warranties in general can be worthless. They're only ever as good as 1) the company standing behind them and 2) how accessible that "stand behind" is.

Even as a young man when Hyundai came into the USA with a 100k mile warranty I thought to myself "if they need a warranty to sell it, I don't want to buy it."

S&W, Sig, Springfield, Taurus, and I'm sure many more all offer lifetime warranties on their firearms.
