Yes, if using any 'mild' engine flush additive at oil change time, if you DRIVE with it in there, please only use a couple ounces at most to 'start' the process. Do not add the bottle, even only half of it, and go driving around. If going for a lazy drive for 25-30 miles etc on 2 ounces, okay, and perhaps add the rest at idle just before dropping it. The rest is trying something that's too risky.
Driving with any in there is already using the product, in most cases, in a way the bottle does not recommend(depending on the directions). Most say not to drive with it in there. I remember SeaFoam used to allow for more miles before an oil change "when added to the crankcase". Now I believe it's less than 70 or so.
