Amsoil is currently doing prototype testing of two new oil filters and one new air filter for VW/Audi engines.
An EAA air filter to replace the WIX 42472 in many VW/Audi applications, including the 1.8L turbos and the 2.8L and 3.2L, VR-6 applications.
An EAO, spin on oil filter to replace the WIX 51393 in many 1.8L/2.0L/2.3L, VW/Audi engines
An EAO, canister oil filter to replace the WIX 57210 in the 1.9L and 2.0L, TDI diesel engines.
Amsoils filter partner for these filters is located over in Europe. No word yet on an exact release date, but best guess is December of this year.
You can use Amsoil's on line, filter lookup feature and see if these filters fit your engine. My 1.8L, 2002 Audi TT for example can use both this air filter and the spin oil filter that replaces the WIX 51393.
