Shouldn’t be that hard or expensive to mass-produce the handful of really-popular spin-on filters left with good quality for about $15, especially when they’re almost all manufactured overseas now.
My machine shop guy has a sign in his shop that says “The reality of manufacturing: Quality, Price, Delivery. Pick two.”
It seems most people here would be willing to take quality & delivery (availability) as primaries for a slight price premium.
But what do I know? I’m just the dumb quality guy at work that maintenance calls at the last minute to bail them out from their poor planning…
