I do not know of any spectrographic analysis that shows silicone.I believe it is pretty common. Same with aluminum
Is this due to the oil?

Yes. My best mpg has been with Toyota 0w16.Is this due to the oil?
No. I’m illustrating your lack of knowledge and what you’re claiming in regards to conclusions you’re drawing.

Never under any circumstances can you ascertain in everyday driving that an observed fuel economy change is due to an oil. This is deep into the noise. Many factors influence fuel consumption in this kind of an uncontrolled environment. For one thing the gasoline itself varies in BTU content, one study showed a 4% variance in energy density even at the same gas station - and this is separate from seasonal variations in formulation. There are tens of similar and equally significant variables that also influence your measurement.Yes. My best mpg has been with Toyota 0w16.

The oils all worked. Use the brand your car seems to "like".Good morning. I guess all these oils are good. Amsoil just has a higher TBN, not by much though. First three oils are Mobil 1 AFE, Toyota, and Pennzoil Platinum. I think Pennzoil is the best deal of all four. What do you guys say?
