Amsoil didn't do any better

Al was high in the Amsoil run. Wish I had done a VOA of it, some of it was probably already there in the oil.

Okay folks, just changed the oil, hpl premium plus 0w16, fram endurance, 6000 mile OCI. Wish me luck, I don't want anything in my filter lol.
HPL surely looks different and smells different. But my engine doesn't sound like it noticed any difference lol

Yes. My best mpg has been with Toyota 0w16.
Never under any circumstances can you ascertain in everyday driving that an observed fuel economy change is due to an oil. This is deep into the noise. Many factors influence fuel consumption in this kind of an uncontrolled environment. For one thing the gasoline itself varies in BTU content, one study showed a 4% variance in energy density even at the same gas station - and this is separate from seasonal variations in formulation. There are tens of similar and equally significant variables that also influence your measurement.
