Probably because people wrongly assume it's too thin especially in warmer climates. M1 0w-20 is good stuff and the Amsoil 0w-20 should be top of the line.

Strange, back in the Dec. of 04 PB's had their coupon sale. At that time I brought 0W-20 oil, then Mobil took it off the market. One year later they put it back out there, they stoped again and came with 5W-20 oil. Now as you say it's back out at clearance!
To my limited understanding to make a 0W-20 oil would have to be a Grp IV/ PAO type oil.

The Mobil 1 0w-20 is probably still a Grp IV oil no doubt... I have never seen it on the shelves though.
If they can make a 0w30 with majority Grp III basestocks why couldn't they make a 0w20 with majority Grp III basestocks?
