Nate at Next Gen claims he approached GM with his actual, mechanical fix and GM told him to pound sand AND released a bulletin stating there is no mechanical fix while some dealers were installing his parts to fix the problem.The software "fix" is a reprogram that sends the transmission into limp mode if it detects multiple ratios applied at once - IE lockup occurring. That's not a fix.
Allison/GM should have continued development of the Allison 9 speed. If they can't get the 10L1000 fixed, the Ram ZF is going to have their share of the market.
