I second that. All the floating infotainment displays look like someone thought about it late in the development process and they fudged it in there. That's not just a Ford thing either. Other than that it's a very nice design.

My bosses BMW has one of these type of displays wedged in the dash and it looks like the designer rode the short bus to school.

I think this one is better, especially in the Police Interceptor version... I'd buy this.

And it's interior dash is better than the iPad wedge dash...

I'm probably one of the few that really isn't into the whole slick-looking type of body style that SUVs are being made into. I like an SUV (and truck) to look rugged and tough-looking. I know, I know. It's all about the consumers comfort and usefulness. It's just nowadays, they're all looking the same. Like a compact minivan.

I like the exterior. I agree the interior is a big step up but that tablet thing is a little jarring. I think owners will get used to it quickly and it would certainly not be a dealbreaker for me but for an SUV that looks well thought out it's a strange choice.

People aren't even used to the BMW tablet thing to this day, no way a portrait oriented Galaxy Tab will be accepted any better
