Went to my local AAP to grab some OG Titaniums. Shocked to see the price has increased to $15.99. Also checked Car Quest Premium to find the price also increased to $8.99. I was here earlier in the month and prices were $12.99/$6.99.

I managed to get a couple OG Titanium’s for $12.99 because their prices on the shelves didn’t match the $15.99 that their computer rang up. Lady gave me the shelf price, but immediately got on updating the pricing on the shelves. 😎

This makes me bummed about the Amsoil oil filters made by Champ with apparent bypass issue, as for $10.30 delivered with my couple of big orders a year (so free shipping); is a great deal for what would be the best performing filter for the price compared to FE.

Thankfully, I’ll be good until spring of 2025 with the OGs.

Perfect timing!!

I never understood their business model. Rewarding online buyers with discounts while store walk in purchases are not discounted. I stopped going there months ago after using my membership discount. You can just get the same stuff for less at walmart these days.

I wouldnt be surprised if the price increase is to offset their online discount losses, which in other words punishes walk in customers with higher locked in prices.

Only oil filter I have an interest in that's sold at AAP, the CQ Blue 84356. Current online purchase price for store pick up still $6.62 with easily found 15% off online code. Been that price for a while, hopefully stays that way. Imo, best current value on a PG made oil filter. Better than any other b&m AP store priced "premium" PG made oil filter. No OG media FS7317 sold here, those long gone. Zero interest in Titanium with current XG media, imo, wayyy over priced.

Agreed. Only things I go for, OG’s and Car Quest Premiums. $15.99 is to much for even an OG imo. $8.99 for the CQP is stretching my limit. I walked out empty handed…..went online and found the same prices but the SEPT15 code was available.

It seems while you may have been lucky still finding OG media FS, not so much with the CQ Blue now. Just checking price again on the latter, as noted in previous post. While I prefer the CQ price I still see, $7.65 with discount still beats other equivalent PG made filters at other b&m AP stores. As for online code, no minimum purchase 15% off I find on RetailMeNot site.

I’m still a CQP fan. Currently exploring all PG pricing. Seriously considering a case of Pentius UFXL. Comes out around $3.50 per filter.

Purolator Boss on Amazon used to be $11.74 and now they are $16.58. Glad I bought 4 when I did. Will never pay $16+

I don't known if I'm the only resident AAP employee, but at my store we put those tags up about 2 weeks ago. I was shocked at them too. Some are as high as $18.99. The Purolator Boss filters are equally if not more expensive.

The good news is if you get one of the oil change bundles, they include any filter.

The Carquest Premiums are still the best bang for buck filter that we sell IMO.
