I was wondering on how long I should run the oil its has 4 quarts of mobil 1 5w30 tri-syn and 1 quart of redline 5w30 with 5 ounces of lc with a pure one filter at fill (6/29/05)and I put 2-3 oz of lc every 1000 miles. I did the autorx process the oil change before. I have this mix running for 3900 miles the car does mostly city driving and short trips, I use fp as well. Its the first time using LC should I dump it since the car won't be driven for about a month? The severe service is 4500 miles and normal is 7500 miles. Avg temp right now in nyc is around 30f any help is appreciated.

With all those different additives, I'd dump it pretty soon and start over! But, that's just me...I trust the oil companies to make good products (as long as they meet the API specs, etc., and have it officially on the label). Doesn't that engine call for a 5-20? If it does, I'd just run Mobil 1 synthetic 5-20 and change it every 5000 miles, or once a year, whichever came first. But, that isn't a very sophisticated and knowledgeable answer.
The car actually is not the vtec variety, and it calls for 5w30 api sj. I think I will just dump it at 5000 since the oil never really heats up or goes on the highway, does 45 mins of city driving count if its not really stop and go but no where near constant of highway speeds.
45 minutes of driving doesn't heat up the oil?
The oil will heat up slower in stop and go driving, but will almost certainly be up to operating temperature after 45 minutes.
