Isn't there a guy here on BITOG that has over 500k miles on an Accord? Haven't seen him on here in a while. Different Accord than this one.

I remember that. If I'm thinking of the same/right person, I believe they used "Mobil 2" since it was burning tons of oil.

OP, I think these are very solid cars and probably some of the most likely to make extremely-high mileages. If I were in the market, I'd pick up one in a heartbeat. CamCords are pretty hard to beat for an all-around option in that class.

Yes, it was him. Funny how we can easily remember these posts from 4-1/2 years ago :ROFLMAO:

Here's his post

@ThirdeYe how's the Accord?
Over 630,000 miles and still going strong. Runs and drives like new. I’ve only had a few minor issues with it over the past few years, mainly with rusty bolts breaking off when replacing the air filter, license plate, etc. also had rear stabilizer bushings replaced and i replaced the blower motor with a cheap one from a junkyard. 03-07 K24 Accords are some of the best cars ever made.

I put on >340,***miles in 18 yrs on a 1988 Accord LX 2.0L/2bbl/4spd auto.The structure was compromised due to the northern winter salt over that time so, who knows how long the car could have laste in another climate.

"2008 was 8th gen and in my opinion, had more issues"

I am likely taking over my moms 2008 K24 Accord. It has 55K miles on it. She hasnt driven it in over 2 years, i take it out once a month to keep everything moving.

What issues?

For those that are reading this that have an accord that eats rear brakes and rotors- I just fixed my moms last month. The caliper pins in the rear are in the wrong slots. She put 40K miles on it and i replaced brakes and rotors in the rear twice... I noticed that the rotors and pads looked horrible after 5K and finally found the information about the caliper pins being reversed on some cars.. crazy. All is good now.

Pretty cool. 😎. Only 345k on my 99GS400. I was excited to hit 500k as I used to drive 84mi/day for work. Now we're at 6mi/day...so it'll be awhile 😂

Brake issues that you already mentioned and interior issues. I will say that my Accord tends to chew through brakes pretty quick as well. I want to say they also had suspension design issues wearing tires prematurely but that may have been the Civic.
