2015+ had the CVT and steering issues. 2014 and earlier had regular 5 speed transmissions and didn't have the steering issues like the next gen did. I think the pre 2015's are more desirable for these and other reasons.

I'm selling my 2012 currently and will be genuinely happy for whoever gets it. Great car.

Ah. You are right. Ours was a 2015, not a 2014. Solid, solid chassis, and I was very much a fan of it, but it had those 2-3 quirks.

My buddy has a 2017 it’s peppier than mine but it does have the steering weirdness. Mine is very dull but gets the job done. I’ll miss it.

I have a 2015 and am not aware of any steering or CVT issues. They do have an idle vibration issue that is a minor annoyance. OTOH, Fuelly.com reports the 2015/16 models with DI and CVT are about 2 mpg more efficient that the 2014 & prior Gen 4 models.
