This is the 4-speed auto with the infamous 3.1L V6. The transmission cooler lines were leaking so I just dropped the pan & changed it along with new lines.

Neo is a diester based oil that starts out thin. I am considering refilling with Royal Purple Max-ATF. It starts out at 7.5 cSt but will it shear badly? I may run only 15-20k miles again & do a UOA. I can't imagine it being this low in that time frame.

You've gotta be making up that 2nd picture... how do you still have a transmission left, all your pieces are in the filter?
 
I assume the debris in the filter is gasket material? The fluid itself looks nice and "cherry red" still. I'd think you could go longer on that fluid. I went 60K on Mobil 1 in my 4T65-E and it was still red and shifting nice. I plan on doing 75K on the current fill of Mobil 1. I also add Lubegard red.

It appears that may not really be the case with the physical tests.

Typical Characteristics:
Density at 15°C, g/mL: 0.853
Viscosity at 100°C, mm2/s: 7.7
Brookfield viscosity at -40°, cP: 11,500
Flash Point (PMC), °C, min: 180
Phosphorous, % weight: 0.022

This really makes the final viscosity result disheartening & all the more reason to change fluid & move on. That is a lot of shearing.
