9/11 Dark day for America

That sounds nice, but isn't true. Scientists knew. It boils down to (some) people being expendable, in order to win the cold war. The general population, and lower ranking military, were kept in the dark. To save me a bunch of typing, I'll post this link: https://library.nau.edu/speccoll/exhibits/daysofarchives/downwinders.html#:~:text=In the name of national security, military and, promote and fund uranium mining and atomic testing.
Yeah, we knew radiation was bad but we didn’t know distances, carried by wind, etc. at first until we started dropping bombs and doing tests. Once they knew and figured it out though and kept testing with or without telling people, not marking areas, letting people shoot movies, testing near summer camps, etc that’s what is messed up.

I will never forgive our government and the EPA for saying the air was safe. More cops and firemen died from 911 cancers than on that day.

It truly breaks my heart how many heroes got sick and died and left behind family. It still boggles my mind how simple half face respirators could have been brought in and saved so many lives. As someone who was a fire investigator in the past I always wore my respirator on fire scenes but a lot refused because it is stifling to work in. It’s so unfortunate that our heroes didn’t have the information they needed to make a decision in regards to their health. They truly were selfless heroes who laid their lives on the line.

The amount of silica dust from pulverized concrete, asbestos, carcinogens from fire, untold chemical cocktails….I don’t understand how or why anyone could say it was “safe.”
