2nd choice oil to keep rings clean?

Anything Valvoline, Mobil 1 and short OCI’s if you want big box. My OLM says I can go 10k, yet the condition of my oil @ half that says no way. I’m sure there’s others. Hpl and HPS would be my main go to with Torco also coming into play.

HPL, Redline Performance, and Motul 300V. With the 300V in a lower mileage dump then the others.

Order your Valvoline Restore and Protect directly from Walmart, and you will get it sent for free if you chose 2 jugs or more. My local Walmart were bare, so I ordered it online and I received it the next day. I now just order it online and don't bother even going to the store since I get it the next day with free shipping..

just got some that way - it was well packed and came quickly

I’d look to add HPL Engine Cleaner 30 to another oil. Of course that requires ordering a product, which I assume you could do with the Valvoline Restore and Protect.
I get six packs of the HPL Engine Cleaner 30 and always have on hand …
About to put some in the Pentastar bcs it sits for a couple weeks at a time and perhaps the ester will help with cling …
(Lots of dry start debate over that motor) …

From reviews here for cleaning I would probably try Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30. We don't have much feedback information on the Mobil 1 Advanced Clean yet that I saw. Both are easily available at Walmart when I go.

I would recommend HPL Engine Cleaner 30 with any quality full synthetic oil. Just the order/ship details. I used it Pennzoil Platinum in my vehicles and saw what carbon it cleaned from somewhere and left in my filters. After my HPL Engine Cleaner 30 ran out I was using a quart of HPL PCMO 5W-30 instead with PP. Backyard chemist in me said that if the HPL full formulation was "stronger" than HPL Engine Cleaner 30, using that would be just as good if not better. I know the consensus on don't mix formula's/frankenbrew but if the HPL Engine Cleaner 30 is directed to be used with others, why wouldn't the full formula do the same?

Many of my vehicles have and will get frankenbrews to use up partial quarts. I just need to strategize which will be used that way. Those dang sale threads play havoc because of my lack of willpower for a good deal of other quality stuff (like the Castrol Edge $30 back on 10 quarts).

That's what I had to do. Every time I went to Walmart they didn't have it in 5w30 so I just ordered 3 jugs online. Free shipping. It's making me lazy too. I ordered all my oil filters from advance auto and had them shipped too. And then I ordered some amsoil shipped to me.
