2500 miles or 3 months oil change

I love my lil Jeep. I have seen 3.6L Pentastars rocking 500k miles on Pacificas, Grand Caravans and Rams. I want to join at least the 300k mile club

I offroad a ton, and I want my Jeep to last 500,000 miles
There is a point of diminishing returns though when it comes to doing frequent oil changes. Why do you feel like 2500 miles is what is needed to get to 500k? It’s not as if 2.5k changes will double the engine life compared to 5k changes. It’s very likely that your engine would last just as long with 5-6k oil changes actually. (And even then there is no guarantee that it will hit 500k no matter what you do, as there are a lot of factors that get an engine to last that long)

Factors for instance coolant? I am thinking of changing my coolant every 25,000 miles way before it gets acidic and eats all the plastic in the engine bay. I saw Car Care Nut and a 200 Series Landcruiser showed up at his shop with a blown 5.7L V8 because the guy didn't change his coolant regularly.
I am on a mission to become a very high mileage Wrangler

Coolant, when it comes time to flush the FCA purple, there are better coolants out there. I recommend Fleet Final Charge Pro, but there are other good coolants that will go 5 years without breaking a sweat.

Guys, I love my Jeep and oil change takes 20 minutes and $35. So I have decided to change the oil every 2500 miles. Oil goes in nice and clean and comes out nice and clean. Am I stupid?
Stupid, no. Overly cautious, yes. Your change interval is way overkill. You could EASILY go 6 months/ 4000 miles. An oil analysis can give you a good idea on a good interval.

Changing oil that often won't make it any easier to get to that 1/2 million mile mark.
By the time the TCB gets laid down you're
wiping it away, not to speak of being wasteful. 5k mile oil changes is what I'd suggest. Actually I would suggest a longer OCI if it were me and I would be using a 30 grade oil. Good luck.

If you really want to take care of it, take care of the transmission, transfer case, axle oil, coolant, and brake fluid. Keep your stock air filter completely stock and watch it as well. Any little air gaps in your air intake seal with grease or RTV as appropriate. Dust is bad for engines, and oil changes don't do much to prevent it from scouring the upper end.

To answer your question, I’m inclined to say yes. Oil changes every 2500 miles, coolant changes every 25K.

I love my car too but do 5K mile oil change intervals. I will admit I did drain and refill my radiator around the 5 year mark just because I wanted too.

I think we are being had…
