24 Piaggio Liberty 150 5w-40; unknown oil

I ride it infrequently in the winter, almost daily otherwise with 14 mile round trips. Some kind of Castrol 5w40 was used (or was it 0w40?) what the dealer used.
I switched to 10w40 mc oil now. Looks like yearly oil changes would be good with my riding.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was a 30 grade. Are you certain it was a 40?

I'm pretty sure they said 5w40 castol. I would not be surprised if a 5w40 sheared to a 30.

Yeah, Cycles shear oil a bit easier. Does this scooter have a wet clutch (oil shared with transmission)?
