Get yourself an oil extractor. Every thousand miles or so, draw off two quarts and replace with two. Oil dilution % down, TBN up. Only takes a few minutes.
This has been my exact thinking on this subject. I am still watching for fuel dilution-caused catastrophy on any A25A-FXS engines, as alarming as it is to see this sort of numbers. Iron, copper and aluminum look very fine.

Presently running Mobil Ones ESP x2 0W20 paired with a new Fram Endurance in my 2023 Hybrid Rav 4. Checked the oil last week alittle over 3000 miles and it smelled like fuel. So has every other oil I have ran in it since new. Does not matter what the season. I have it in Sport mode 90 percent of the time and take a nice longer ride every weekend. I have confidence in OW20 in my engine. Nothing against anybody using thicker or thinner..

Is the fuel dilution coming from blowby from the low-tension piston rings installed when new from the factory or somewhere else? Also, can the hybrid part be turned off, along with the stop start part? Actually, IMO, it doesn't look that bad.

Nope, Toyota doesn't allow you to turn off anything

I love coasting, that habit I will not change. I get great gas mileage and save my brakes, I am still on the factory brakes.

This probably won't make a difference, but you could try Castrol GTX full synthetic 0w-20. It has a vis at 100c of 9, the highest of all Castrol 0w-20 API rated engine oils, including their Edge products. For good measure throw in a can of Liqui Moly Mos2 at the same time. You "might" increase your film strength, a little, reducing blow-by and contamination. Notice, I said might, not will.

is that why Toyota 0w16 has tons of Moly?

I can reply, but most members here are more informed than I am about these things, however, 0w-16 is a thin oil, I think the HTHS is 2.3 or something like that. I think that they might be trying to give a little higher protection from boundary limits on metal-to-metal wear/damage, basically a protective film between surfaces, trying to make up for the lack of viscosity. I know the Japanese oil companies use a boatload of Moly in their 0w-16 oils. Idemitsu being one. They have used 0w-16 in Japan for many years, 10 to 15 before us I have read, but they do have different conditions. Mobil Lubricants makes Toyota 0w-16 to Toyota specs. You notice, the difference in additives on oil analysis between Toyota TGMO and Mobil 1 0w-16. I like Liqui Moly Mos2 additive, it saved me a few hundred bucks years ago on the 2015 Honda CRV I traded in on my current car, a 2025 Toyota Rav4, non-hybrid. The additive goes in at every oil change, might not help, but won't hurt. It is around $10.00. a can, and it gives me a little Moly boost. I wish they made a Moly joint juice I could drink for my crippled up old ass! LOL! I would try the Castrol GTX full synthetic 0w-20 with the Mos2 additive. It might make a difference, it might not. If you feel like experimenting, you could try the Idemitsu. You can buy it on Amazon. I would still add the Liqui Moly Mos2 though. That is just me though.

This was first time I used 0w20, just so you know. 0w16 got me here

On 0w20. EPA says 36 and I am getting 36 with 0w20, lots of luggage and passengers lol. No need to go back to 0w16. 0w20 gives me a lttle peace of mind.

I was able to install a start / stop " delete " on my 2025 non- hybrid RAV4 XLE. It actually doesn't truly delete the function, but " reverses " the operation where the start / stop function is now turned off all the time unless I press the " off " button to turn it on. It was an item I found on Amazon for around $20-21 with a plastic tool to remove the interior trim pieces to access the on/ off switch and install the " jumper ". I watched a YouTube video to get the installation instructions.
No more PIA engine stops at stop signs or stop lights. I had some relatively violent engine restarts when that would happen. So, I installed the " bypass " within 2 weeks of purchasing the vehicle.
