Those cams wore anyway.
[Even though they were very low performance.]
But a win win situation is with the 15-40 HDEO oil, in that vehicle in summer.

Ya my bad. There are two oil pump styles...one sets deeper in the crankcase.
The deep one I had pushed the camshaft forward about .040" and busted the boss off the idler shaft.
OTOH, the lifters are perfect and the cam lobes broke in nicely considering there was a bunch of debris in the oil for all those miles from the pump:
(The lifters spin, so they break-in and wear-in more off to one side like this)
