LYRIQ-V teased today, for a launch in early 2025. Minimum of 595 HP and 645 lb-ft. (Blazer EV SS specs) Likely to have MagRide suspension. I’d guess $70k base price.

I drove a Lyric. Thought the build quality could be better, still way better than both Teslas I have driven. Little things like stitching were off and door alignment. Paint looked good.

"Cadillac has confirmed the first electric SUV to earn the V-Series badge"

Of course....when the only electric SUV model you have out is the Lyric.

I would "Guess" higher.

At least for actual selling price.

I meant to type 70s - edit timed out. I highly doubt it’ll be above $79k, to keep the tax credit. It’s the same car as Blazer EV SS which is $61k. LYRIQs generally aren’t a huge premium over similarly equipped Blazer EVs. I’d still guess lower $70ks for the base trim.

Part of the reason I think that is because the CT4 V and CT5 V aren’t a huge premium over the normal trims. They added the Blackwing trims to really get the huge price increases with totally different engines. A LYRIQ-V Blackwing would be a different story - like using Silverado EV motors for 750HP+

It appears LYRIQ-V will just use the same battery and motors as the LYRIQ AWD that already exists,
just turned up a bit with some motor/inverter/cooling tweaks.

I certainly could be totally wrong though… 😄

Looks great.
All the ultium cars are 800 to 1K overweight compared to their closest competition.
This is going to affect the handling big time.

I’ve seen the Lyric in person. Wouldn’t call it boring or an appliance. If you can get past the +/- of electric car ownership I’d say it’s worth a serious look.
I saw one in dark green the other day and I was surprised by how striking it is. Had no interest when I saw it in photos. I wouldn't buy one because I don't want a crossover, but it definitely has more flattering dimensions than nearly any crossover I've seen.

I presume its target market will be rappers or wanna be rappers?
If you saw it in person I think you’d have a different opinion of it. I don’t see it appealing to those that would take the Escalade. It doesn’t have that slab sided look. This is closer in proportion to something like the original SRX.
