And understand I’m talking US only.
I get about 10 videos of Tesla damage a day and none of the cars have US plates.
So Even When you have individuals with 100+ counts of vandalism?
Even when you have a small number of real damages (fires, broken stuff, smashed) but a large number of scratches and paint swipes?
Also when close to 80,000 not-Tesla cars are vandalized in general per year…
Also the list of individuals being charged has mostly been <25 with many under 18, very few voted in the last election, many identifying as independents / non-affiliated , some being supportedly conservative.
The Tesla “protests” in this area at least have been hospice and geriatrics oxygen tanks and all with signs, so it’s doubtful those folks are committing vandalism off their wheelchairs.
I don’t think the reality of an unsorted group of a-political angry youth aligns well with the narrative being presented. Age and income have more to do than other factors.
I would lean more to this being a class based riot with foreign agitators
even though the only thing that groups these people is 4chan as outside a couple people they aren’t organized and it’s completely random.
Add to this Tesla vandalism has been in my feed pretty steady for at least 8 years, usually at charging stations in the past.
So we went and picked up our Tesla this afternoon. A handful of dimwits were 'protesting' on the sidewalk. Guess what their signs said, and what they yelled? Suffice it to say they made it clear where their psychosis lies. Several even sported failed-campaign shirts.

These 'protestors' all appeared to be middle aged or older.
I thought about walking over and handing them a box of tissues.
If there is still a list of Tesla owners out there, and where they live being circulated for nefarious purposes, they'll be disappointed that ours is a consulting business vehicle, and the mailing address for the business is a PO Box...
I think I'll pick up a Toyota badge to stick on the car, to fool would-be vandals.
