As of 3/11 anyway.

People seem to still really like them even though they may not like the leaders of specific companies, or why they are available at all.
It will be interesting to see if post tax incentives this remains the same, or if this is a rush to get while the getting is good.
Tesla ran out of incentives prior but sales remained robust.

Im looking forward to seeing hot weather testing for GMS latest to see if they can keep the cabin cool while fast charging when it's 100+ out.

You could have said, global sales are up 28%.

You could have also said, US sales grew less than 8%.

That's why this topic in general is .. uninteresting and over sensationalized, at least to me. I'm not going to bother looking at whatever data "Rho Motion" published.

All the talk of Tesla sales down seems to be distracting from this info. I didn’t know it was doing that well. Even if I wanted to spend my money elsewhere I see more options that interest me. I still like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and I’d take a serious look at the Blazer SS now that it has been made available.

There is a lot one could say.

It's always interesting when people bother to participate in a thread they deem uninteresting or overly sensationalized.

I'm much more interested in a holistic view of all the segments, but until someone makes that available we get the pieces we get.
We used to get great data for no charge from goodcarbadcar, but they are interested din getting paid for it.

Although Im always interested in specific manufacturers numbers, the segments are more interesting to me.

I do as well, and a few others here.
Gotcha, to start the article decided to report percentages instead of whole numbers, percentages of what kind of EVs? Remote controlled cars? It does not clearly state the timeframe either. Arstechnica should know better, but they dont. However, the data still propagates and people will make decisions based on a lie.

What kind of Ev is a great question asked earlier here, in some data sets elsewhere Hybrids started to be called EV's.

Im still piecing through Rho motions submissions elsewhere.

I'd love to see better more complete data if you have it.

We'll certainly learn more from a myriad of sources when we reach the end of Q1

USA sales are up 28%
I’m not sure what the discussion is
“Despite everything, US EV sales are up 28% this year”

It did say that sales are up 30% from this time last year as buyers are trying to acquire prior to the tariffs and loss of EV subsidies.

Cutting though the FOD, the linked piece states with perfect clarity that US EV sales are up 28% so far this year while those in Europe grew 29%.
This is good news for anyone with an interest in cars, since growing sales can only lead to more models available and more effort to make technical progress.
More choice is always a good thing and we now have a panoply of EV choices alongside a huge array of ICE makes and models.
Good news for anyone looking to buy in the near term.

Who knew, reduced prices moves metal?

My guess is the big price drops and strange deals are also manufactures trying to not have inventory sit considering what this year might look like.

The General is the lease king and can at least kick the can down the road a bit.

Not surprised. The more people that try them the more sales will rise.

I’m 9 months into my first EV (Blazer EV) and I’m never going back to ICE. No way. The driving and ownership experience is just so vastly superior for me. Smooooth, quiet, powerful, instant throttle response, no shifting, regen braking, one-pedal driving, charge while I sleep for $6, “routine maintenance” is almost eliminated, my garage no longer smells of car exhaust, etc.

I should have switched sooner.

I haven't seen it posted in here.
Have you heard about "dogequest" ?

I think maybe the site was taken down.
"A website called “DOGEQUEST” has posted on a searchable map what it claims to be the names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of Tesla owners across the United States, and says it will remove the data if an individual proves that they have sold their Tesla. "

I searched but maybe I am missing something .

I would find this disturbing but Fox seems to confirm it is no longer up and I suspect it never will be anymore.

Why did your garage smell of exhaust?

Unless you're idling it in the garage with the doors closed or have some classic car from the 60s without emissions systems, that's not normal.
