2025 1500 Ram SST Issues

Of course, no one is saying crappy vehicles is the intended norm. But all of the vehicles you have purchased had a warranty and in every situation, the warranty responded by paying for the appropriate repairs. The puzzling part is that you are going out of your way to punish the manufacturer for an untimely repair, and doing so at the fullest extent allowed.

You have already acknowledge that it is luck of the draw, so at some point, you should accept the fact that you have a working vehicle and move on with life.
Yeah if you manufacture a vehicle and take so long to repair it that it falls under my states lemon law I will lemon law it. Some states only give 15 to 20 days for repairs. My state gives 40. If it takes you over 11% of a year to fix a brand new current production vehicle then you should replace it.

You're missing the point. If you have a working vehicle and Stellantis replaces it with an identical unit, what advantage does the replacement vehicle give you?

Your statement makes it sound like you just want Stellantis to feel the pain of putting you thru what they did, all for the sake of being able to stick it to them.

I don't want them to replace it. I want it repurchased so I don't have to deal with my local Ram dealership anymore

How does that math work once fair use is factored in? With a buyback, do you not also loose having a trade in tax credit for any replacement vehicle you purchase?

@Mathew_Boss
Personally, I don't buy anything based on Consumer Reports reviews. I've been bitten in the rear by doing so.
As far as initial quality, that's not a very convincing reason to purchase a vehicle. There was only one Chrysler product that I've owned that was worth a hoot. That was a 1966 Plymouth Valiant Slant 6. The Dakota and Ram I owned were pretty awful.
I would buy a Ford or GM truck over a Ram any day.

I dunno.
You seem to have had very bad experience with one new and one newish vehicle as well as several prior to.
We've bought seven new vehicles and a number of used ones over the past forty years with never an issue until long after we'd bought and used them.
Just sayin'.

We have bought a 2013 Passat TDI, 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer, 2014 Ford Fiesta, 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage, 2016 Ford Focus, 2019 Toyota Highlander, 2019 Honda Insight, 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and 2025 Ram 1500 all brand new. The only vehicle that made it to the first scheduled oil change without warranty repair was the Honda Insight and I was deployed for part of that one

Then you have had really bad luck with a variety of new vehicles.
For the record, we've had new a Ford, two Subies and four Hondas with never a warranty issue with any of them.
Both Subaru and Honda graciously offered warranty on the AC condensers of both of our out of warranty cars, couple hour fix for both.

I know we have bad luck. Some of them have been quick minor fixes like the lancer needed a window switch it was a great car otherwise. The Mirage needed a coolant line clip and it was great otherwise. The Focus needed towed on the free dealership tank of gas from buying new and it took them over 30 days to replace the computer and wiring harness. Toyota Highlander needed 2 engines in 5k miles so we have had extremes. That was the shocker with the Frontier, the vehicle certified pre-owned with a frame inspection had missing frame welds. You can't make up my experiences with vehicles. I'm not bragging I'm complaining

I saw you made a thread and talked about the Highlander some years back, so you are extremely well versed in lemon law. That explains quite a bit about what happened with the narrative in thread.

Update: Our 2024 2500 heavy duty has been serviced. Went in with 214 miles because the brake pedal began to lose pressure. Nothing was replaced however the dealer performed a bleed. GREAT. Don’t buy these things. Let them rot!

Brought the truck back again at 274 miles. Brakes were even worse pushing close to the floor. The ebrake moved overnight after being fully engaged as hard as I could press it. Finally the shop foreman went through it with a fine tooth comb. The answer was to bleed the abs system. It was hooked up to the computer and abs was activated during the bleeding process. Problem was resolved and brakes back to normal. Anyone with ram brake issues that are mysterious, ask the dealer to do this.

My subaru is going in for warranty repair this week.. it needs..(the horror) a new window guide frame or whatever they call it..
binds when going up.. both front windows.. there is an updated part available to address this issue.

IIRC I remember someone trying to get lemon law for a paint bubble here a few years back.

In a repurchase you get taxes, payments, interest and everything else associated with the purchase of the vehicle refunded

You act like this is my fault which I find curious. I can't help the truck broke. I didn't make the federal warranty law that states a vehicle can only be broken for a reasonable amount of time before it's repaired or replaced or the manufacturer is in default of warranty.

My poor situations have made me have to learn the law.
It might not be your fault, does raise the question of whether there’s “something in the water” to have two Toyota engines fail, then a weldless frame truck and now an issue with the SST.

Some guys just have all the (bad) luck. Sorry for your hassle!

Update: we test drove some trucks today in the snow. First up was the 2025 Ford Ranger STX. It was fine. 2.3EB had a lot of vibration while the engine was running I wasn't a fan of compared to my smooth I6 Hurricane.

Next up was a 2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. About 5 minutes in.... The entire cabin was filled with the smell of coolant. I turned around and went back to the dealership. Popping the hood there was not smell outside or from within the engine bay but still strong inside. Yeah not interested in Toyota anymore.

Then we went and test drove a 2024 Silverado 1500 Custom Turbomax. This was the double cab as my wife didn't like the crew cab. It wasn't as nice to drive as my Ram in my opinion and it has a lot less creature comforts than my Bighorn trim but lease deal of 434 a month with $500 down, I think we are leaning towards that now. 9k tow capacity is more than enough for what we need and the increased payload is welcome compared to my Ram. I like it only takes 6 quarts of oil too.

Arbitration is Tuesday 18 February. If we loose we have a law firm that wants the case with a 99.1% win rate. Were just ready to be done truck shopping and to hopefully enjoy truck ownership this year.

With your luck, the Silverado will lose a lifter, wipe the cam and you'll be 3-motors deep into it by December, lol.
