Why did you downgrade to 20 grade? If you're doing Amsoil, just get 10W-30. It will be fine and has very low Noack. If non-boutique, then 0W-xx is better.

Do you call Valvoline Extended Protection "high quality synthetics"?
If so, what is the high quality about that oil?
Good point. I don't think it's high quality. What I should have said was "she developed oil burning on oils that BITOG think are high quality synthetics."
I think we write on here to get valuable info and help each other.
However, I noticed a common trend on here. When people are not satisfied or disappointed by a product or service, for some reason they don't write down the brand or store. Another one is in the Oil Filters forum - person was not happy with the service where he boght his filter but didn't tell the store name.
Why is that? Why don't tell your fellow BITOGers which brand or store didn't do well?
I haven't really noticed that. People seem to like to complain here IME. But I think it is important to give as much information as possible though to help others.
