2022 ZR2. 54k miles. The Colorado has never run better (knock on wood). I don't know if it's because of all the maintenance I've kept up with or ATF flush or 3rd round of Valvoline Restore and Protect + Valvoline Restore and Protect Injector cleaner?? Runs like new. Shifting is even better now since the flush. Could also be summer fuel blend change over? Truck is definitely a tad more responsive.

Here are all the service and maintenance I've had done over 4.5 years:

Oil - every 5k (mostly AMSOIL Signature Series and now 3rd run of Valvoline Restore and Protect)
Differentials F/R - 20k (Mobil 1 75w90)
Transmission - 25k (pan drop/filter change (40% removed)
Transmission - 54k - full flush (100% of fluid removed/Mobil 1 ATF)
Air filter - 25k
Cabin Air filter - 25k
Fuel System Cleaner - every 10k (Chevron/Valvoline Restore and Protect)
Fuel - 93 (Top Tier)

Repairs:
Door handles replaced due to paint defect (warranty).
4wd actuator switch (5 min dealer fix/warranty)
thermostat sensor (warranty)

Likely Common Future repairs:
thermostat (a PITA to get to). Common failure.
shocks ($4k-$5k). Can last anywhere from 40k-120k. Mine seek OK at the moment. No leaks, firm.

The 22's got a torque converter upgrade (I think?). If I were to keep, I will have the $700 upgrade valve body put on. Solenoids sometimes fail but that seems to be related to longer oil changes.

Biggest complaints - interior rattles. Some days no rattles, some days a few. All the plastic looks cheap, yet the truck feels well built. Gen3 is a big improvement here. However, the plastic interior is easy to wipe down and keep clean.

This is on my radar as a future vehicle for me if I ever decided to sell the Jeep. Thanks for the update.
One thing I really like that I didn't think I would is the auto 4wd. It basically makes it an AWD vehicle too. RWD pickups are not good in bad weather, and it's been valuable during mix precip conditions or even heavy rain. Comes in handy during those conditions where 4wd is not quite needed or ideal.

Run it till 100k or?
Looks new still but it should with 54k. Thanks for the details on your ZR2 experience. I remember this being a trim level on the S10 trucks. They got the skid plates & stuff but you already knew that.

I'm not sure. My plan was to trade in around 60k. I've enjoyed having it. Came in handy a few times. Overkill for my needs. SUV would be more ideal. Not sure I want to keep it long term. I've even considered getting an EV and getting a used Jeep or 4Runner for off road. I don't want to do anything until I'm certain though.

Is 60k end of power train warranty or just about prime for trade-in?

Looks brand new. If you trade it in, the next owner will win the used car lottery.

Which ATF did you use? Mobil 1?

Mobil 1 LV ATF (Blue Bottle). Dealer did the flush. It's also only been hand washed lol. I don't take cars through the car wash.

Such a cool truck. Top tier 93 fuel AND regular fuel system cleaner.... you're not giving this truck any excuses. I've heard good things about the LGX-based engines for the most part. I think it will run well as long as you need it too. I'd like to think the 8-speed was fairly well-sorted out by then as well. Especially with you keeping good fluid in there.

I think so as well. LGZ/LGX are solid. The gen prior was not and had some timing chain issues. They stopped making the LGZ (truck variant in the Colorado) so it will be a very short-lived engine (2017-2022).

I missed one thing: transfer case fluid changed at 52k.

The thermostat really isn't difficult to get to. 1/4 inch ratchet and a deep socket with the plastic engine cover removed, you can go straight in. Takes longer to drain and fill the system.

I pulled my interior apart last year and CLD/matted the thing... quietest vehicle I've owned by a mile. When it rains the only sound is from it hitting the windshield now. I'm at 145k and beat the ever loving piss out of it at times and all through the 36k bumper to bumper... I tried to break it. The only work it needed beyond normal wear was lower ball joints and tierods... but I was in an accident and went over a curb at 60... which most likely caused that.

I have the B-pillar squeak sometimes but refuse to let the dealer drill and fix it on principle....

The third gen interior looks nicer kind of I guess... if you can get past how annoyingly loud the 2.7 is it's a fine vehicle I suppose. Between the short bed only and that though it didn't make me want to piss money and replace something that was already dead nuts reliable and paid for.

Good to know, thank you. (y)

They are tough trucks. They surprise a lot of people off road too. I've seen many videos of FJ's and others failing to climb where a ZR2 will walk up it.

I needed the towing so no ZR2 for me. Way too much truck for me. Bad ass right off the floor though.
