Maybe this is somewhat ignorant... but I think timing chain issues in the previous generation V6 are largely due to people trusting the oil-life monitor a bit too much and using non BITOG-approved oil.

I have a Traverse with the LFX-based LLT with nearly 150k... love the power and driving experience, but I don't dare extend intervals based on what I've heard. I've only had it for roughly a third of those miles though. My biggest complaint is the efficiency (or lack of efficiency). Maybe the intake valves need to be cleaned though....
