2021 Ford Raptor

Doubt most people will daily it. In fact, it will probably be garaged next to their Demon to be taken out once a month or two on nice days.

I expect lots of them will be DD'd, I know three people personally who DD'd/DD Trackhawks and two that DD Hellcat Chargers. My wife wants one and if she were to get it, it would definitely be her DD.

I'm sure there will be guys that turn them into garage queens, but it's a truck, I see plenty of DD'd Raptors too, so I expect it will be similar for the TRX.

I have a friend with a 2011 Raptor and he is waiting for the new one with the V8 to come out before he gets rid of his. He says he already has several people wanting to buy his 2011 when he gets rid of it.

Yep, my coworker just easily made back the $ he paid for his Raptor a couple of years ago...sold it for a Model S. Now that's what you call a complete 180 lol.

The 6.2L Raptors are literally the best ones. Slap a Roush on them and rock on is what all my friends who own them do.

I see Raptors all day every day down here in Houston, Texas.

I never did really figure out what TFL did to get on the naughty list... I do find them less tolerable lately...

Anyway.

It'll be interesting to see the power numbers and payload/towing rating. Guess thats my primary objection to the Raptor and why the Tremor packages seem a better choice you need a truck, in optimizing the Raptor for off road, they typically lose towing and payload. Classic case of tradeoffs.

It is cool though!

Both the RAM TRX and the Ford Raptor show good performance. They both have short beds. The Raptor has a 5’ 6” bed and the TRX has a 5’7” bed. Off road advantage goes to the Raptor. For less power and 6” less bed, you can get a Jeep Gladiator.

I've driven the various previous generations. They are quite capable trucks and according to many, they are superb in the snow.

But in the end, I prefer the Lariat version of the F150. Much lower and firmer suspension, and along with 20 inch rims, provides far more responsive steering. More "sports car" like, and not as mushy as the Raptor.
Has the high-output version of the 3.5 EB, also

Cant remember the name of the company, but there’s a place that’ll take a F150 and turn it into a raptor. Price wise, it’s about the same as buying new except you get to pick your color and engine when you initially buy the truck. Not sure what V8(s?) is currently offered in the F150 aside from the 5.0.

I believe the 5.0 is the only V8 available in the F150 right now.

In what way(s) does the Raptor have an advantage over the TRX off road?

The Raptor is lighter, has more ground clearance (even on 35's) and greater approach and departure angles...

I will say I would rather have Bilsteins, but I'm not willing to buy a Dodge, er Ram... to get them and I bet the FOX work well...

Seems the Raptor also has slightly higher payload and towing numbers, though 8200 LBS is still well short of a "MAX Tow" equipped F150.

Seriously doubt a sports car feel was in the design parameters of the Raptor. Mushy is what you get with long travel suspension intended for fast offroad driving. Sad that most Raptors will never see dirt. You want a modern Lightning.
