The timing chain will break.
The turbo will explode.
The AWD is unreliable and sure to cost you $4000 to repair.
Transmission is unserviceable and unreliable.
There is no available oil that will fulfill the needs of the engine because BMW engineers are wish-washy and have no idea what they are doing.
It will be too expensive to maintain because BMW designed it so you can't DIY.
BMW designed it so that all systems will totally fail the day after the warranty ends.
Japanese cars are way nicer and more reliable.
Buy American or you are bad.
Everyone needs a Ford pickup.

Unfortunately my 75 yr old mother bought one of these last year. (2022 MY). I've driven it a few times. It's a nice ride and well sorted if you like AWD although I cringe at the cost of tires.

Take note. If you plan to retain well past CPO period the oil filter housing located at the rear of the engine is made of thermoplastic and prone to cracking.

There's actually a guy on BITOG who brags about doing exactly that; I replied that if I faced driving the same car-particularly a soul-slaughtering anodyne appliance-for 400K miles I would just cut to the chase and jump off a very tall building- and if he actually enjoyed what I considered to be an eternal automotive purgatory, to have at it.

Have you tried the new Honda Accord? It is seriously fun, and CVT is not bad at all.
