2014 Camaro Z28

Don't think this has been posted yet, but Chevy revealed the new Z28 today.

Looks nice, and I really dig the classy, yet simple interior. The car seems just too huge for me. But I have always felt this way with the new Camaro.

to me it's not even a question, Challenger hands down.
I'd actually rather have a '12+ SRT Charger than this Camaro
but that's me. just not my cuppa.

If speed is what you care about, this thing is in the 911 Turbo, Ferrari 430, Lexus LFA, Corvette ZR1 range around the Nurburgring. Crazy for something that will probably start around (less than?) $60,000.

They finally got the tailights right. BEAUTIFUL! Do Camaros still have the oil temp guage? I also like the smaller Chevy grille emblem. What`s up with all those HUGE emblems these days? That looks horrible imo. This new Camaro looks perfect!

Word from GM is that it is *faster* than the ZL1 in testing, to the tune of about 3 seconds per lap. They didn't give a location for that number, so it could be their own track at Milford or maybe VIR, where it has been spotted testing. Either way, that's not an insignificant number.

They also said it would be more expensive than the ZL1 and produced in a more limited capacity. Given that the LS7 isn't a cheap engine to produce and all the expensive features, like carbon-ceramic brakes, I can see the expenses adding up quickly. I don't think this is the car for commuting.

So, with less power than the ZL1 and faster lap times, it should have no trouble running laps around the GT500 (which is already out lapped by the ZL1). All while giving up 160 HP to the Ford.

I can't wait to see what it does at next year's Lightning Lap. I am sure the new Corvette will be there as well. Will the Z/28 bring enough to out lap it's big brother?

Since the release of the new retro Camaro, I just can't seem to like it, and this one is no different.

I can't say how quickly I'd take an SRT Challenger over that, its not even close.

The styling is a disappointment.

I was hoping they would trend more towards the 70.5 style. Smooth out the back...etc...

While I am certain it is capable, it doesn't do much for me.

Concur with Spaz and other dissenter's. No doubt in my mind that it is an incredibly fast car, but just not for me. The Mustang and Challenger are much more appealing to me.

I'm not a huge fan of retro styling and that goes for the Mustang and Challenger although I tend to like their renditions better. But I think the new Camaro's styling is now as good or better than the Mustang and Challenger.

Same here. Performance is impressive, but it looks unsightly!

Looks blocky, fat, and as already stated....cartoonish. I'm sure it performs very well though. I'll give them a little credit at improving the tail lights.
