IOLM 4%. Semi synthetic oil, Motorcraft filter. No add oil. Overall, it's closing in on 100k miles and it looks like it could make 200k.

There should be no reason for any modern engine to not spin happily for 350k+ without much complaining. I’ve seen way too many 300,000+ mile all original drivetrain cars that proved this. Only a defective engine (something snaps prematurely for no reason at all) or lack of maintenance will prevent you from easily racking up another 100k on the clock. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I almost think that we subconsciously, automatically assume that an engine can barely make it to 200k before it’s worn out and that’s just wrong

There's an IOLM on the 2012 3.0L Ford? or is it just an OLM? Not saying you're wrong; I just wasn't sure one way or another.

Otherwise, happy motoring!

I concur with Artem; most any n/a engine made in the last decade has zero reason not to make it to 300k if reasonably cared for and no manufacturing error lurks internally.

Dnewton3 it's good to see you back. I hope things have resolved themselves.
The owners manual states IOLM. Living in the Midwest most cars rust before the engine fails. If I can sell it just before 200k I can still recover some $$. After 200 most people don't want to spend much on a used car.
