2011 vw Tiguan atf fluid

Has anyone used Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle ATF in a vw Tiguan? I believe mine is a Aisin 6 speed automatic. Not sure if it’s a 09m or 09g?
I feeling like after changing the fluid the transmission is having issues shifting when the engine is cold. Once it warms up seems like it shifts a bit better. When it’s cold it jerks the car a bit when shifting.

I have used Liqui Moly toptec 1200 (and lubegard red) and pentosin ATF-1 (with lubegard platinum) without issues in my 16 Tiguan

Maybe a shift adapt reset is required after a fluid change. Hopefully others who know will chime in.

I used it in my 2020 Tiguan at 30,000 miles and it’s been working “fine”, same as every other vehicle I’ve used it in.

Mine never required it

The valve body tends to go bad on the Aisin tiptronic transmission

Did you refill with the same amount of fluid that was in there before?

Sometimes, problems like that, poor shifting after changing the fluid, can be a result of not adding the correct amount back in.

The Aisin transmissions uses a level tube, so you fill it up, make sure it's at right temperature, shift through the gears, and then let it drain off to the level tube.
