It looks like there is a product "Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF" appeared on Valvolines website. The web page has "noindex" meta tag which tells search engines to exclude it from search results (index). Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF also appears in product finder (for 2014 Audi Q7 at least) which might be unintentional. There are no "Product Information (PI) Sheets" available yet.

A lot of transmission issue is caused by valve body born wear, not deposit, if everything is hanging on thread with deposit work as a "seal", cleaning it up may get things worse?
Or this could be a good oil for those who cant do a pan drop and change filter? Just run it once to clean up pan and filter then go back to EP ATF or MaxLife.

"Active Dissolve Technology" Gee, didn't Tide say they have that? No matter..... :)

If it really works ya better have an aux filter/spin on filter or a pan with drain plug. You don't wanna actively dissolve all those baddies and then just have 'em circulating around.

This looks awesome. I don't think I have a use for it with one vehicle at 29k, and one at 63k which both have had annual drain and fills. the 63k had a full service with filter. That being said, I'm sure that it is an excellent product. Interested to see the specs compared to EP.

Most likely not. +4 is it's own thing. Doesn't seem that any reputable universal ATF aside from Amsoil adding the +4 to their list. Given that neither Maxlife nor EP have the +4 listing, I can't imagine this would.
O'Reilly sells a "Global" that claims +4, and one of the farm stores -- Rural King maybe? -- has a house brand universal ATF that specifically claims +4 along with most everything else.

We have a member here who claims to have used the RK with no problems, and personally I think O'Reilly is big enough they're not gonna claim this unless it's acceptable. That said, my feelz are not facts, so YMMV etc etc

I wonder, how many transmissions have failure or issues pertaining to deposit build-up? I don't think I've really seen any. They put a picture of a clutch pack before/after, normally I've just seen the clutch packs burned up, not with deposits.

I will say, Valvoline has been killing it lately.

Something is not right here. I've tried looking on the Valvoline Global website for this product, and it isn't there. Since the OP said it is recommended for a '14 Q7, I sorted by that, by every variation, and still no Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF.

I'm getting suspicious. First post of a new member, and this just doesn't look right.

There is a direct link in the original post and a description that it's likely not finished page as it's missing any detailed product information.

Here is a direct link to the product search, scroll to the Transmission section: https://www.valvolineglobal.com/en/...odel=a85f40148945ef8c&engine=bd810298f254ce06
