UPDATE: It`s an 08,not an 07.

$25,995 It`s very rare for the 6 speed. Black/black. Looks nice!

Being a 2008 I don't really know of any problems with the car. Can you get a carfax? Honestly with that low amount of miles even if it only had a few oil changes it couldn't be that messed up. Does some of the warrentee still exist? It should. Id jump on it if I had the money, and would trade something in if I could.

My FIL has an '06 IS250, he loves it. 30+ mpg easy, his is the semi-auto/paddle shifter one. Cons: not much backseat room, rear visibility can be poor. Sporty suspension may or may not be up to everyone's liking. The OEM Dunlop SportMaxx tires are noisy as heck. I really enjoy driving his car whenever I can

It's a nice car. Kind of small inside, but I love the overall interior design and how the cockpit "hugs" the driver. Some people may find it claustrophobic, but I love it. I just wish 6-speed manual was also available on the IS350. The IS250 isn't all that quick unfortunately (from what I've read). A V6 Accord will leave you in the dust, if you care about such things. I'm not a speed racer, but a performance luxury sedan without a good pickup is a bit of a miss for me personally. Then again, our C300 somewhat falls into that category as well - but the wife loves it. Drive the IS250 and see for yourself if it is sufficient though - it may be. Nice car overall.

Its got to have premium fuel though. And I can say this from the loaner I had.

All these new high performance engines require premium.

Its a sharp looking car but pretty much fails in every other way. Its a 4 door but the rear is smaller than most coupes. For some reason all of the 4 IS250/350s ive been in have a really loud humming noise above 20mph. Sounds exactly like a bad wheel bearing or REALLY loud tires. 3 of the 4 have had different oem tire combos so it might not be tires.
They are also hopelessly slow. Prepare to get embarresed by v6 camrys and accords from a decade before the IS250.

I use premium in mine now,so that would be no change. I like the millage rating on the IS a lot better than mine.

It`s funny you guy`s mention the poor performance issue. I had an ES 350 loaner prior to the IS 250. And the ES was very quick, especially compared to the IS. But the handling of the 250 was superb.

Are you considering ditching your RX for this? If so, to say you're going to have a blast is putting it mildly.

Ya know dood,If I only had my RX a little longer, ( i`v only had it over a year) I would probably do it. And although I would have the added handling,I`d hate to be blown away by an Accord. And I`m SURE I would be challenged at some point of ownership. Plus I do like My RX. Now if only I could afford it as a third vehicle......

So the Accord V6 has that one advantage. BFD. Let it have it, IMO. It's not like the car is comparable in any other way.

Just my $0.02.

"It's not like the car is comparable in any other way." I know right? It`s like I mentioned, it was a fun car to drive.

I know they are beautiful and the nicest reasonably-priced car out there.

Their poshness makes for very poor interior space utilization, which needs to be considered... But a wonderful car overall

Hi.

It is a very nice, smooth, and reliable car. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and honestly say that, in my opinion, it wasn't a very fun car to drive. The IS 350 is a little more of the same, just more power. The car's steering wasn't as sharp or weighted as I would like. I felt that the wheel and shifter placement wasn't optimal. In a car that is marketed as "sport," if those two things are done well, they can mask a majority of the deficiencies in the car. The shifter's feel is not like a Miata (short and smooth). The clutch engagement is okayyy, which is there to make driving smoother. Throws a long, but the shifter engages well. It feels ok. The shifter is ok overall. Not a little notchy like the BMW 3-series, a little more dull. Not as short as a Miata. It's a shifter haha.

The suspension was well designed and I felt that it offered good articulation and performance around the track. If you plan to drive hard, that needs to be modified a little.

The engine is wonderfully smooth, like all Lexus engines. However, I would describe it as not a very sporty engine. Lots of smooth power delivery in the rev ranges where we drive most (lower end of the spectrum). I felt a flat spot at ~5800 rpm...which was probably when it ran out of steam. But that's ok...we don't drive at 5800 rpm all day :] It simply does not produce power the way a race engine would. But then again it's a luxury consumer vehicle haha. So I will not knock it for that.

I felt that the throttle was very smooth. A little dull when I lightly tipped the pedal, then it is quite responsive.

Brakes are fine, however, they did fade after about 20 minutes of testing on the track. Handling is quite neutral, leaning on the understeering side a little. Engine bay is tight, but well organized.

Interior is very nice like all Lexus vehicles. Everything is very well sported out, not confusing like on some Audi and BMW sedans. Intuitive and well thought out are my two remarks concerning the interior. I have always liked Lexus interiors. However, there is a marked sense of utilitarian that you will not see in their other vehicles...which in my opinion is good.

Hmmm...what else were my driving impressions...aha. Freeway driving is nice and smooth. Road noise does permeate the cabin a little, but nothing like an Acura TSX...which is very noisy in comparison.

Fuel economy around the track was less than 15 mpg. On the freeway I observed ~28 mpg cruising at 75 mph.

The IS-250 is a Lexus vehicle. Very reliable, very smooth, and stupendous quality. However, in my opinion, they left the sport to the IS-F.

Great vehicle. Hope my opinions shed some light on it. If I angered any of you I do not mean it that way. I am just giving my opinions.

If you register for an account on the lexus owners portal, you can put in the VIN of the vehicle and it will tell you every dealership visit the car has seen-- so you will see the complete maintenance and repair history.
