2007 Honda Accord 2.4 - Recommendations

Hey All,

I plan on using Schaeffer's exclusively for 5000 mile OCI as long as I'm still under warranty, but I need some advice...

Current mileage is 1200, and I am going to leave the factory fill in for the first 5000 miles before changing the oil/filter. Any problems with switching to the synthetic blend at the first oil change, or should I run dino a little longer?

I used Schaeffer's (with excellent results) in my VQ Altima, and I hope to see the same in this car.

I wouldn't worry one bit about using synthetic, or a blend at 5k. Lots of folks have used synthetic after the first 1 or 2k, and many models use synthetic right from the get go.

Your plan sounds just fine. I think your vehicle has Honda's oil life monitor system. I would change at 5k, then change when the monitor says to.

Yes, synthetic will be fine and it is nice to start early.
