1k mile oil change on ‘24 SQ8 Complete

Probably was the most labor intensive I’ve been a part of to date. Have to remove the whole air cleaner housing and ducting, along with a cross brace.

Took exactly 10 quarts and there’s not much choice of oil that is spec’d for this car that I could find. Used M1 ESP X4 0W-40. (Calls for VW 511 00 and 0W-40)

Also, can anyone tell me what this thing is?
I recall seeing something similar in white, under the hood of my dad's 73 Volvo growing up.
I always thought it was something to do with vacuum as the HVAC system on those cars was push-button (as opposed to the "sliders" that was common on older vehicles.)

Thanks looks like a 32mm. I think the BMW/Toyota Ineos Grendier B52 engine has an oil filter against the firewall and it is a 32 mm.

Yep. This is the same engine in the Lambo Urus, Bentley Bentayga and some of the Porsche Cayennes.

Looks like the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coup (4.4TT V8) in my shop now - cats and turbos set up the same way. Not too bad to service actually. We do all the work on it since came out of warranty.
