1 yr old remaining Mobil 1 5W50

I have some remaining Mobil 1 oil that I have kept and compiled to make a full gallon. Although they are all the same oil, the oil has been kept in the bottle for 1 year(not factory freash) Will I be able to use the oil for my next engine change or will the oil take in moisture from the air. I stay in Singapore(hot and humid) Thanks to all for the inputs. Cheers!

I believe Mobil states a shelf life of 10 years for M1, no problem in your case. I have 8 gallons of M1 in my garage, at current usage rate it will take me about 3 years to use it up and I'm not concerned at all. I just couldn't pass up a closeout price of $2/quart.

I'll make full use of it then! In SIngapore.. 1 gallon of Mobil 1 is about US$50 bucks... Sigh...

As others have said, no worries. Motor oil does not absorb moisture in the way brake fluid does.
