Can I go from 5W30 back to 0W30?

When I bought the car they did 5W30 in it. But the manual and websites says 0W30. Can I go back to 0W30? Or will it use and consume more oil now? The car have 228 thousand kilometer (not miles) .

I was wondering does an K&N air filter will increase any performance and sound on a diesel engine (5-cylinder). I question this because I had an gasoline engine with this brand and in made a-lot of sound, better throttle respons and a little very little fuel economy. Thanks in advance

Hello all, I bought an Volvo V40 - D4 with an 2.0 5 cylinder diesel-engine. On websites like Shell lube Match, Total, Castrol and Kroon Oil it says it needs 0W30. The garage where I bought the car from added 5W30, can this be an issue? Can I go back to 0W30 or should I let it as 5W30? Thanks...
