Worried that I'm damaging my AWD Infinti

Hi, All- I own a 2008 Infiniti M35X AWD sedan with about 125k miles that is driven by my wife. In 2016, I had a set of Kumho Solus TA71 tires in the standard size of 245/45R18 from Tire Rack installed. Last May, the two rear tires had non-repairable punctures, and my wife took the car to a...

Simple Q: Most unreliable car you've ever had?

1982 Saab 900. The fuel injection was never quite right on it, no matter how much I spent or what mechanic did the work.

The guy I used charges mobile work at $75.00 for the service call including the first hour, and $50 for each additional hour, actual time. For shop work he charges $75.00 an hour using book hours.

    Mobile Auto Repairs

A lot of people who advertise "mobile auto repair" are just scammers. I found a guy with a physical garage, a marked van, and who accepts credit cards, believing that those were all marks of legitimacy, and had a couple good experiences, but I still can't figure out why he goes out on the road...

Are VW and Mazda on the upswing?

I was recently perusing the website Dashboard Light and it looked like both of these carmakers' offings have greatly improved in the last 5-10 years. Note in particular the improvement for the VW Passat and Jetta beginning with the 2011-12 model years, and the Mazda 6 beginning in 2009 (but no...

Replace plugs by mileage or wait for failure?

I have two cars that I bought used, and I don't know if either has ever had new spark plugs installed. My '08 Infiniti M35 has 125,000 miles, and my '09 Mazda 6 2.5 has 191,000. I don't have a scanner, but both cars run well, with no CEL. Should I replace the plugs or wait for a CEL to appear...
