I use the same filters (Supertech 7317 and PurolatorOne 14610) on my 04 Accord V6, 05 Maxima and 05 G35 Coupe. In my opinion there is no need to buy oem filters...as they're usually overpriced for what you get.

Chinee, just out of curiuosity, what oil filter and OCI do you run on your G35?

I've been running ST filters on 04 v6 accord for 7.5 OCI, 04 oddysey for 7.5K, 05 maxima for 6-8K and 05 g35 for 5-6K. No problems at all.

Yeah, they've always been 2.07 but they're not always in stock (someimes 3 weeks at a time) so at ~2 bucks a piece...not a bad idea to have a small stash so they're always available and you don't have to wait in those long lines.

I've read on another post that people should buy oil on a need basis. Do you guys think the prices will eventually come down in general? That is without coupons, rebates, etc.

ekpolk, I looked at the UOA, very good results. I'll check out the KN filters when the times comes to switch over. Man, I hate waiting around for the next oil change but I guess there's no good reason for dumping good oil, especially when it's not detrimental to the engine.

Highlander, do a search for "supertech." There is no other place better than this forum to do research on the WM house brand oil.
