I felt the older one ran out of power up top. Hopefully that's is something they have considered. Looks nice.

Heads way back in the day (2012-2014) had a valve guide wear issue but we fixed that (ex-pentastar engineer here). Oil filter housings were also an issue but again corrective actions have been in place for sometime. In general it's a really good setup if you take care of it.

We had huge issues with his when I was in engine design. Heads hold a lot of oil on new engines. If you have to check it hot I would wait 15min for sure.

My GF has that same car. It's amazing now much smoother sounding it is after a change. Not sure if you experience the same thing. That multiair is loud!

Missed most of the thread because I was on the road but yes that is very normal. Tested probably 200-400 engines when I was at FCA on the Pentastar team with a full teardown review and performance/data charts. No issues at all with this on any of the filters we tested. They would look way worse...
